Japan Tokutei Ginou/ Specified Skilled Worker Visa

Overview

Japan Tokutei Ginou/ Specified Skilled Worker Visa is a type of work visa granted by the Japanese government to foreign workers (at least 18 years old) who possess certain skills and have passed skill tests and Japanese language proficiency tests. This visa aims to fill the labor shortage in Japan in certain industrial sectors that require skilled workers.

This visa is valid for 1 year and can be extended every 4 or 6 months. The total maximum duration of stay for holders of the Special Skills Visa is 5 years.

For physical documents submission or document delivery, you can choose to pick up or collect at SPUN Operations office, or choose for delivery add-on during checkout.

Notes:

Please note that if you're visiting Fukushima/Miyagi/Iwate prefecture, you are required to attach Hotel and Flight Booking confirmation.
If the number of applicants is high or for special cases, the application process may take more than 1 month.
For National IDs under Jakarta jurisdiction, applicants must attend biometric collection directly at the Embassy of Japan in Jakarta.

To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:

The applicant has already obtained a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE). This letter can be obtained from the Japan Immigration Office by the host, sponsor, or guarantor in Japan.
Applicant has already obtained E-KTKLN (Kartu Tenaga Kerja Luar Negeri) yang diterbitkan melalui Sistem Komputerisasi Tenaga Kerja Luar Negeri (SISKOTKLN) BNP2TKI.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
