Philippines Student Exchange Visa
Overview
Philippines Student Exchange Visa (9A) is a type of non-immigrant visa granted to foreign nationals who wish to enter the Philippines for temporary purposes such as short-term study (language courses, non-degree programs, or exchange programs).
This visa allows temporary entry to the Philippines for up to 59 days, extendable at the Bureau of Immigration. It doesn’t grant formal permission to study, so participants of exchange programs, short-term courses, or non-degree studies must apply for a Special Study Permit (SSP). The SSP application process is usually handled by the host university or educational institution, not the student.
