United States P-1B Group Performers Visa is a U.S. non-immigrant visa for members of internationally recognized entertainment groups who are coming to the United States temporarily to perform as a group.
This visa is designed for bands, dance troupes, theater companies, circus performers, and other entertainment groups with a distinguished international reputation. The group must have been established for at least one year, and at least 75% of its members must have worked together for a minimum of one year.
This visa is temporary and depends on the Form I-129 petition submitted by a sponsor, agent, or employer in the US, and allows multiple entries with a validity up to 1 year and extendable.
To qualify, the group must demonstrate international recognition and outstanding achievements in the entertainment field, with a level of distinction above the ordinary. In certain cases, groups with sustained national acclaim may also qualify if they can prove consistent recognition as leading performers within their country.
P-1B Visa applies only to entertainment groups performing collectively, not to individuals or independent projects. If you are an individual artist such as an actor, musician, or dancer, you may be better suited to apply for the United States O-1B Artist Visa.
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Applicants must already obtained an I-129 petition from sponsor, agent, or employer in the United States.
- Must not have been rejected for a US visa in the past six months.
- Ensure the passport contains at least two blank visa pages.
