United States O-1B Artist Visa is a U.S. non-immigrant visa for individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts or outstanding achievements in film or television. It applies to professionals such as visual artists, musicians, actors, dancers, designers, magicians, and entertainment performers, as well as those working in film or TV with wide distribution.
This visa is temporary and depends on I-129 petition filed by a U.S. sponsor, agent, or employer. It allows multiple entries into the U.S. with a validity up to 3 years and extendable.
Extraordinary ability in the arts is defined as distinction or a high level of achievement in the field of arts, meaning that someone possesses a level of skill and recognition far above average, so that the individual is considered prominent, renowned, influential, or widely recognized in their artistic field.
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Applicant must already obtained an I-129 petition from sponsor, agent, or employer in the United States.
- Must not have been rejected for a US visa in the past six months.
- Ensure the passport contains at least two blank visa pages.
