India Tourist Electronic Visa

India Tourist Electronic Visa is intended for travelers visiting India for tourism purposes such as recreation and sightseeing, meeting friends or relatives, joining short-term yoga programs, or taking brief courses in local languages, music, dance, arts and crafts, cooking, or traditional medicine, as long as the course is under six months and does not issue any formal certificate or diploma. This visa also allows short-term voluntary work for up to one month without any monetary payment or compensation. This visa ideal for travelers who want to explore India while participating in cultural, educational, or wellness activities.

The validity of the India Tourist e-Visa depends on your travel itinerary. You can choose from 30 days, 1 year, or 5 years.

• 30 Days: Available for single entry or double entry, but this visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.
• 1 Year & 5 Years: Granted for multiple entry, with the condition that your stay in India must not exceed 180 days within one calendar year.

Notes:

• The longer the visa duration you choose, the higher the likelihood that the embassy will request additional supporting documents.
• For first-time applicants, the 30-day option is recommended, unless there are strong supporting documents showing the need for a 1-year or 5-year visa.
• For the initial visa application, hotel and flight bookings are not required. Please note that embassy may request additional documents, including hotel and flight bookings along with payment receipts. Therefore, we strongly recommend preparing your hotel and flight plans in advance.
