Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a temporary electronic entry permit issued by the Government of Sri Lanka for foreign nationals who wish to make a short visit to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. The visa allows double entry with a validity period of 30 (thirty) days.

Permitted activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:

• Sightseeing / Holidaying
• Visiting friends and relatives
• Medical treatment including Ayurveda and Yoga
• Participating in sports events, competitions, and activities related to cultural performances

Prohibited activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:

• Engaging in Business/Trade activities
• Attending meetings, conferences, short-term training programs, art, music, dance events/festivals
• Taking up paid/unpaid employment or self-employment
• Residing in Sri Lanka for a long period through frequent or successive visits
