Application Steps:

- Initial due diligence checks completed
- Client agreement signed and retainer paid
- Main applicant visits Portugal to start the legal process (sign powers of attorney and certify passports), choose the qualifying option, and open a bank account. The process may also be conducted remotely until step 7 below.
- Investment finalized and documents collected
- Application submitted to the online platform and accepted by government authority (processing time about nine months)
- Client visits Portugal again, with family, to conclude the application process — provide biometric data and original documents.
- Application approved, residence permit issued
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Minimum 18 years old for the main applicant
- Clear criminal record
- Be a non-EU/EEA citizen
