Indonesian and Qatari citizens with an IC/electronic passport can visit Japan for up to 15 days without a visa by pre-registering their trip. Japan Visa Waiver can be applied for up to 14 weeks before the planned travel date.

To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- E-passport must be valid for at least 6 months from departure to Japan
- No Japanese visa rejection in the past 6 months
- Visit must be for tourism only (sightseeing, leisure, or visiting friends/family)

Copy of your electronic passport
- With at least 6 months of validity
- Must be an electronic passport with a digital chip containing biometric information about the passport holder
- Showing detail of your name, date of birth, etc
Copy cover of your electronic passport
- The passport cover shows the document title “PASSPORT”
- The passport cover shows the name of the issuing country
- The passport cover shows the country's national symbol
- The passport cover has biometric symbol
Copy of Passport Endorsement Page
Submit the endorsement pages even if they contain no remarks.
- For e-passports, this refers to pages 4 and 5.
- For polycarbonate passports, this refers to pages 2 and 3.
