The Portugal Student Visa (Secondary / Vocational Education) D-4 Visa is a long-stay national visa granted to non-European Union citizens who intend to pursue secondary education or vocational education and training at an institution officially recognized by the Portuguese government, and who plan to stay for more than one year.
This visa is only applicable to students aged 14–21. It allows the holder to enter Portugal and subsequently apply for a residence permit upon arrival.
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Sufficient funds to cover the stay in Portugal.
- Official Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from school, university, or institution in Portugal.
- No record of Portugal visa rejection in the past six months.
Passport should be valid for at least 7 months beyond your application date.
- Plain white-colored clothing is strictly not allowed;
- New photos, no older than six months;
- Minimum size 40 KB;
- Minimum pixel 354 x 472;
- Photo size 3.3 cm X 4.8;
- Plain white photo background;
- Clear frontal view of the face;
- Hat is not allowed to be worn
- No edit allowed
Official government-issued identity card that serves as proof of identity and residence.
Certificate that shows that you & your dependent are family from your country
Letter of acceptance from the educational institution that explains the applicant is eligible to attend the program completed with information of program period.
