Overview

The Portugal Student Visa (Higher Education) D-4 Visa is a national visa (Category D) intended for citizens of third countries (non-EU/EEA/Swiss) who have been accepted into or will be attending a full-time higher education program in Portugal (such as a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree) and intend to stay for more than one year.

This visa allows its holder to enter Portugal and subsequently apply for a residence permit after arrival.

Sufficient funds to cover the stay in Portugal.
Official Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from school, university, or institution in Portugal.
No record of Portugal visa rejection in the past six months.
