Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a temporary electronic entry permit issued by the Government of Sri Lanka for foreign nationals who are not from visa-free regime country (China, India, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia dan Indonesia). Applicants from visa-free regime country can visit this page
This Visa is for those who wish to make a short visit to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. The visa allows double entry with a validity period of 30 (thirty) days.
Permitted activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:
- Sightseeing / Holidaying
- Visiting friends and relatives
- Medical treatment including Ayurveda and Yoga
- Participating in sports events, competitions, and activities related to cultural performances
Prohibited activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:
- Engaging in Business/Trade activities
- Attending meetings, conferences, short-term training programs, art, music, dance events/festivals
- Taking up paid/unpaid employment or self-employment
- Residing in Sri Lanka for a long period through frequent or successive visits
Eligibility
Am I eligible for this visa?
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Applicants not from nationality of China, India, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. For Applicants who are from those country can visit this page
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of Arrival in Sri Lanka.
- No visa rejection in the past 3-6 months from Sri Lanka.
