Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a temporary electronic entry permit issued by the Government of Sri Lanka for foreign nationals who wish to make a short visit to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. The visa allows double entry with a validity period of 30 (thirty) days.
Permitted activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:
- Sightseeing / Holidaying
- Visiting friends and relatives
- Medical treatment including Ayurveda and Yoga
- Participating in sports events, competitions, and activities related to cultural performances
Prohibited activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:
- Engaging in Business/Trade activities
- Attending meetings, conferences, short-term training programs, art, music, dance events/festivals
- Taking up paid/unpaid employment or self-employment
- Residing in Sri Lanka for a long period through frequent or successive visits
To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- No visa rejection in the past 3-6 months from Sri Lanka.
- No record of overstaying in any country.
- No criminal record or ongoing legal cases.
