Overview

Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a temporary electronic entry permit issued by the Government of Sri Lanka for foreign nationals who wish to make a short visit to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. The visa allows double entry with a validity period of 30 (thirty) days.

Permitted activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:

Sightseeing / Holidaying
Visiting friends and relatives
Medical treatment including Ayurveda and Yoga
Participating in sports events, competitions, and activities related to cultural performances

Prohibited activities with Sri Lanka Tourist ETA:

Engaging in Business/Trade activities
Attending meetings, conferences, short-term training programs, art, music, dance events/festivals
Taking up paid/unpaid employment or self-employment
Residing in Sri Lanka for a long period through frequent or successive visits
