Overview
The Indian Student Visa is issued to individual who intend to pursue education at institutions recognized by the Government of India. It is also applicable to student dependents. The purpose include:
- Formal education – universities, schools, and short-term courses.
- Cultural & religious studies – yoga, Indian music/dance, Vedic/Buddhist studies, theology.
- Research & internship – scholars, visiting faculty, academic exchanges, internships.
- Student dependents – for family members accompanying main students.

- You must not have been rejected for a Indian visa in the past six months.
- Ensure that your passport contains at least two blank visa pages.
- No history of overstaying in any country.
