F1 Student Visa is for international students enrolled in full-time education at accredited universities, colleges, or academic institutions. Prospective students planning to study abroad in the USA should apply for a student visa at least 6 months before their departure.
The validity period of a U.S. visa is 5 years. However, in certain cases, it can range from 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, to 5 years. The duration of validity depends on the decision of the consular officer granting it.
The first step to studying in the United States is apply to a SEVP-approved school in the United States. If the SEVP-approved school accepts your enrollment, you will be registered for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and must pay the SEVIS fee. The SEVP-approved school will issue you a Form I-20. After you receive the Form I-20 and register in SEVIS, you may apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate for a student visa. You must present the Form I-20 to the consular officer when you attend your visa interview.

To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Applicant must already be accepted and have a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from a U.S. school/university/institution and possess Form I-20.
- Must not have been rejected for a USA visa in the past six months.
- Passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the planned departure date from the USA.

National ID (KTP)
- New photos, no older than six months; never been used in any previous visas
- Plain white photo background
- Photo size 2x2 inches (5x5 cm) or 600x600 to 1200x1200 pixels in digital version;
- Faces take up 70% of the photo
- Eye glasses are not allowed to be worn for US Visa photos
- No edit allowed
