Overview
Australia Student Visa Subclass 500 allows international students to pursue their studies in Australia. This multiple-entry visa enables you to travel to and from Australia freely. The duration of your stay depends on the length of your chosen course, with a maximum validity of up to 5 years. Additional time may be granted upon course completion, depending on its duration.
As an international student in Australia, you are required to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of your study in Australia. To be granted a student visa to cover the additional time students must have OSHC in place for the same period. You should consider this when deciding how much OSHC to purchase, as your visa end date cannot be changed once granted.

To be eligible for this visa, you need to fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Sufficient funds to cover the stay in Australia.
- An official Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from an Australian school, university, or institution is required.
- Application must be submitted from outside Australia, and the applicant must remain outside the country until the visa decision is made.
